Terry fox run
On Thursday September the 28th, the Terry Fox Run took place. Why do we celebrate Terry Fox? He’s important because he taught people in Canada that you can do anything you put your mind to, even if everyone says it’s impossible. His goal was to have a world without cancer. By running across Canada he collected donations to find a cure for this horrible disease.
The marathon Terry ran was called The Marathon of Hope. Every September our school runs around the block in honor of Terry Fox.
Thank you for your support.

Cross Country Run
The cross country run is a competition for grades 1-7. Students will practice at lunch every day for 11 days (excluding Terry Fox Day.) The students run laps around the big field. They run when the first bell rings. After they finish running they eat their lunch in the gym with Mrs. McKenzie. Students have to practice at lunch if participating, unless sick or injured. Mrs. Pilla and Mrs. Jenner will be holding the practices, and also travelling with runners to the cross country run in Beaver Valley on Wednesday, October 4th.
